Even though we have full time nursing staff, and a missionary pediatrician on call, from time to time the babies have to be admitted to the local hospital. The hospital care is quite good, and is available at a fraction of the cost of a US pediatric hospital.
Yet, for these babies, this often means the difference between life and death.
