Adoption from the AGC Baby Centre

Kenyan Resident Adoptions

The best possible situation for our babies is to have an in-country adoption. We believe along with the Kenyan government that the best place for Kenyan babies is in a Kenyan home when possible. We also believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a family setting, not an institution.

The exit strategy for all of our babies who are true orphans or children who have been abandoned and released for adoption, is to work with approved Kenyan adoption societies to match our children with adoptive parents. We do not directly adopt children to the public but follow Kenyan law by going through the registered adoption societies. Learn more about these approved societies here.

To start the process you must first visit one of the adoption societies and fill out the proper forms. After you have filled out the forms, you will return them to the adoption office for processing. While Kenyan law does not allow pre-selection of any child, you are allowed to request the child’s gender and approximate age.

There are many children available for adoption throughout Kenya. If God has been speaking to your heart about adopting, please contact us, and we will help you get started.

International Adoption for non-Kenyan Residents

Currently, the Kenyan government does not allow international adoption for non-Kenyan residents. If God is speaking to your heart about adopting a child, we encourage you to foster or adopt a child in your country or in other countries around the world. Many children are looking for their forever family! You could be an answer to their prayer.
